The Rev. Fletcher Harper, executive director of GreenFaith, a grassroots multifaith network promoting climate justice, discussed climate action with Soka Gakkai youth division members at the Soka Gakkai Headquarters. They discussed the need to raise awareness about climate change issues with those in diverse fields.

The Soka Gakkai hosted a peace lecture at the Nagasaki Peace Hall commemorating the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Nagasaki, Zhang Daxing, commended Ikeda Sensei’s efforts to foster friendship between China and Japan.

SGI New Zealand organized “Tūmanako!” (Hope!), an annual exhibition that displays the artwork of children and young people who share aspirations for a peaceful, inclusive and nuclear-free world in remembrance of Hiroshima Day.
